Hey DC! This month, we are showing love to DC musicians! Are you or anyone you know a DC-based musician who wants their SOUND to be heard? Now until February 21st, we want you to upload a link to your music for a chance to be featured on DCN's  "The Sound." This upcoming season,  "The Sound" will expand to one-hour long episodes where artists will compete head-to-head in front of a panel of judges and a live audience in order to determine who has the best sound!

The panel of judges will be representative of the entertainment and media community. They will provide feedback on each performance to assist the artist with their career development. Following each artist's performance, judges will cast their votes. The preliminary rounds (one show each night) will be held on March 2nd, 3rd and 4th from 6 PM - 9 PM at Ivy City Smokehouse, with one winner chosen each day. Those winners will compete in the final round on March 5th from 6 PM – 9 PM.  Think you've got what it takes? Visit www.thesoundsubmissions.com for your chance to be a part of the show!

In the spirit of music,  we're getting geared up for this year's Emancipation Day Celebration and Concert which will feature some of the hottest local and national artists in and around the District! So, don't forgot to follow us on the social media platforms below for updates and RSVP now! We can't wait to see you at this year's celebration!
